Fairweather Friends ☁️
Okay, let’s talk… today it’s about a certain type of people. There’s just those people who are always there when everything’s going great ✨—yet when the trying times come, they seem to evaporate? Vanish?
When you’re getting the A’s 📚, maybe winning an award at the Met Gala 🏆 or even just getting your 1st paycheck 💸, they are THERE! The hype, the smiles, and all —yet when you’re sad, being trolled, got fired, had an exam go wrong, and just need to vent… where they go? I haven’t found out yet 🤷♀️.
See, that’s a Fairweather Friend 🌤️.
Forever love? Oh please…
Fairweather friends are amazing when everything’s going well. I mean, the cash’s rolling in, they’re getting a cut and chilling, it’s all good vibes.
Yet when you’re going through problems, need a little loan, or even just their presence —umm, poof? Gone like 2025’s trends💨.
Your sadness doesn’t benefit them, so they don’t care. And because they don’t care, they don’t see the use in being there.
But girl, let me be the one to tell you: friendships aren’t built only in the sunny days 🌞, but in the trying times ⛈️. If someone can’t stand the messy, unfiltered version of you, they absolutely DO NOT deserve the radiant one 🌟.
🚩 Red Flags, Keep an Eye Out…
Fairweather friends usually don’t come with a label 🏷️, so here are a few flags to look out for when you feel unsure about someone:
- They only love on you when you’re in the spotlight
- They disappear or give attitude when you can’t give them what they want
- They hate on your mistakes and bad times

🚶♀️ Moving On? Def. an Option…
A really hard lesson for a lot of teens to learn (and I still struggle with) is: not everyone you start with has to—or is going to—be with you till the end.
Friendships grow 🌱, some change 🍂, and some fade. You could grow apart, and that’s completely fine. It’s absolutely okay to put some space between you and the one fair-weather friend.
It’s not cold or mean —it’s just allowing yourself to bring the true ones closer ❤️🔥.
📝 Final Words…
It’s not about having friends who are perfect. It’s about those who are present in every moment 💯. The ones who celebrate you 🎉 because they care and love you 💗.
So, my little advice? Cherish those who stick with you in the hard times. The ones who build you up—morally, academically, mentally, and in every way possible 🌟💖.
