Hey Bonitas!! Question of the day? Do you really need the latest iPhone to be a perfect or cool teenager?
In today’s digital era, teenagers are diving headfirst into a world where technology is not just a tool, but an integral part of their daily lives. As teenagers wake up in the morning, social media becomes their newspaper, and their phones serve as alarms. Nowadays, teenagers can spend the whole day on social media without even realising they haven’t swallowed any food throughout the day. And with all this technology, the one that has gotten so “overrated” and globally desired is the “iPhone”.
What is so special about this phone? Others would say it’s because of the specs, like the big storage settings, or maybe the dynamism and incredible camera for clear, realistic pictures, but I am not gonna lie, most people nowadays just want an iPhone because of the “hype” it’s giving out. This has left most people, including teenagers and many believing that if they have an iPhone on the list of things they own, it’s the end of the world. But no! You don’t really need the latest iPhone to be who you are or to enjoy your teenagehood.
iPhones are costly, especially the latest ones. Moreover, the hype that comes with every latest iPhone is just temporary; no one talks about the iPhone 12 anymore, but when it first came out 5 years ago, it was the first on the market, priced at over $799. Now no one seems to care about it. I feel iPhone ( and you are allowed to not agree otherwise) is just brainwashing humans, but we don’t seem to understand; it’s quite mysterious. To advance my points, other phones like the Samsung Z-flip also have these great specs: super dynamic camera, sufficient storage settings and many other great innovations all in one phone.
To end my point, don’t be deceived by anyone, an iPhone is a gadget just like other gadgets, but of course, expensive. The hype will disappear one day, remember when the nokia phones first came out, I heard from my parents that anyone who had this nokia phone at their time was respected as much as the presidents, but now, where are those nokias?, don’t lower your self-esteem and pressure your parents to get you a very costly iphone just because cool girls and boys of your age are having it.
